Walt Disney was a genius at finding the right people to create his shows and attractions. He called these people Imagineers- the blend of creative imagination with technical knowhow. There are no better words than this to describe the people who designed and built the Enchanted Tiki Room. Here on this page we will show the most important of them.
John Hench and Marc Davis- Original concept artists for the tiki room. They created the first designs that would become the show.
Rolly Crump- The guy who put the "Tiki" in the tiki room! He designed and sculpted almost all of the tikis in the Enchanted Garden and in the Tiki Room.
Blaine Gibson- Before Blaine sculpted Abraham Linclon, he sculpted Jose, Micheal, Pierre and Fritz! Along with all the other birds in the Tiki Room!
Harriet Burns- Harriet was the key "makeup" artist for the birds in the show. She did all the feathering and faces and figured out how to make the birds breath!
Roger Broggie and Bob Gurr- The "givers of life" to the birds, flowers and tikis. The pioneers who developed the revolutionary Audio-animatronic technology!
Sherman Brothers- It wouldn't be the tiki room without the guys who wrote the Tiki Room song!!
Geroge Bruns- Primary Composer for the tiki room. All the music except the "Tiki Room Song" comes form him!
